Scythian is known for their blend of Celtic, Americana, Gypsy and Klezmer music, delivered with a touch of punk-rock sensibility, but it is their live show that make them a must see. Combining the musical precision that comes from classical training with the physicality of college level athletes, Scythian is a delight to watch with seldom a minute passing without an instrument change or a body careening across the stage. The band honed its craft in the streets learning the art of crowd interaction as street performers, and the end result is unity between performer and listener that often results in enthusiastic dancing, hand-clapping and spontaneous festivity.
