Joe Lewis's first show was opening for Little Richard, so it's no surprise that his band plays the sort of blues-rock that you might expect to come straight out of the sixties. Punctuated by horn blasts and deeply rooted in funk and soul, this Austin–based combo has the kind of attitude and deliciously greasy groove–consciousness that'd pass muster in the toughest juke joint.
